Theo are you done with this? I’m just wondering so I can cancel my subscription.

My only question is with Paris Johnson/Peter Skoronski on the board and currently no real solution at right tackle, and Adetomiwa Abewore probably available for one of their second rounders and a proven ability to reduce inside, why would the bears go edge over tackle here?

Because their d-line is laughable bad. There are legit a couple college d-lines that shit on what the bears are slated to roll out. That’s why.

I understand that their d line is complete garbage, but what I’m saying is with such a deep edge rushing class, and then not having an answer for right tackle right now, why not try to protect Justin fields, and if he doesn’t workout have a solid o line for whoever comes next?

Because mobile qbs protect themselves with their ability to maneuver the pocket and escape on rollouts. I would also argue the offensive line wasn’t the reason Chicago struggled to throw the ball it was fields taking too long with his reads, if anything the addition of Moore to the receiving core will do more to his protection than a rookie RT will.

There is no way Ron is trading Chase Young to take the a QB in this draft. He’s gonna roll with what he has. That’s what Ron does. Ron is gonna go into the season with Howell and Brissett competing to be QB1 unfortunately.
